Unknown Parts Message
If you’ve recently purchased a refurbished iPhone, you may notice an “Unknown Part” or “Important Display/Battery Message” notification within the device settings.
While this can sound concerning, in almost all cases it is simply an informational message generated by Apple’s software and does not indicate that there is a problem with your device.
Many refurbished iPhones contain replacement components such as batteries, screens or cameras from previous repair. Modern iPhones use software pairing technology to verify certain parts, and when a component has been replaced, the device may display a notification even when the phone is functioning perfectly normally.
At Used Mobiles 4 U, all devices are professionally tested before sale to ensure they meet our quality standards. Any device supplied by us remains fully functional and is covered by our warranty, regardless of whether an Unknown Part notification is present.
The information below explains what these messages mean, why they appear and whether they affect the performance of your device.
