Why you should consider buying a second hand Samsung Galaxy A9

If you are looking for an upgrade from your old Samsung smartphone, this could be the phone for you. This second hand Samsung phone with four rear cameras, which some people might find over the top but Samsung say that the additional cameras are better for taking more crisp photos.

This used Samsung phone is mainly aimed at young adults who like posting on Instagram. When this Android phone was first released in 2018 and was priced at £449. However, as there have been more phones released by Samsung, this phone has been able to become more affordable. However, should you buy one today?

How well is it designed?

Just like the more recent smartphones, Samsung has given this phone a glass front and back with a metal casing in the middle. This gives the refurbished Samsung phone a more high quality feel to the phone. The Samsung Galaxy A9 also comes in a range of different colours. These colours are Lemonade Blue, Bubblegum Pink and black. The one that I have been testing is the Lemonade Blue, and this is one of the best looking second hand Samsung phones I have used.

How well does the screen perform?

What you will also notice with this second hand Samsung phone is that it is quite a large handset. This phone contains a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display making this screen bright, clear and colourful. You do seem to find that this Samsung phone has a slightly thicker border around the screen, but this doesn’t seem to be an issue for me. There are also no notches in the display which you might find on an iPhone X which I don’t like about the iPhone X.

Are the four rear cameras any good?

What might draw people to this particular used Samsung phone is the quad-cam that this handset offers. The primary camera that is on the back of this phone is 24MP which is the default option that the camera is in. This lens is excellent in low light. The next lens on this camera is 8MP and is a 120-degree wide-angle lens allowing you to get those wide-angle shots. The third lens is a 5MP depth-sensing camera which collects data used in Samsung’s Live Focus background blur mode. The four and final camera is a 10MP telephoto lens which has a 2x optical zoom over the primary camera, allowing you to get closer to what you are taking pictures of.

Overall

After using this second hand Samsung for over a couple of weeks now, I have found a large screen phone that I would buy. It is a great looking phone that has some of the best cameras that I have used. The screen has also been outstanding. The colours jump out of the screen and stand out. I would highly recommend buying this phone to anyone who uses their phone for taking pictures and watching videos.
