What do I think of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro?

If you like what Apple and what Samsung produces but not sure on which one to get. This is the perfect phone for you. However, when it was first released you did have to pay a lot of money to buy this phone. At Used Mobiles 4 U this isn’t the case. You are now able to but this phone at a cheaper rate. The question is should you buy one today.

In today’s review, I am going to talk about what I really think about the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and should you buy one.

What features does it have?

The Phone that was realised before this phone was the Huawei P20 Pro, which is also one of my favourite phones at its price range, and moving from that phone to this phone will show you how much better this phone is.

The main feature on this phone is its cameras. The cameras that have been used are two colour ultra-wide lens which is able to give you an edge when it comes to low light situations. It also provides you with its ability to zoom out with the ultra-wide lens, like the iPhone 11 Pro is able to do.

How does it look?

By just looking at this phone you are able to tell that this phone costs a lot of money. It also has a completely different design but this isn’t the case when it comes to the front of the phone. One issue I do have with how the phone is designed is that the phone is just too long. I wouldn’t mind if the screen was slightly wider but it is awkward to fit inside your pocket. If you are always using your phone with two hands however, this shouldn’t be an issue.

The Screen

Huawei have given the Mate 20 Pro an excellent but simple screen. It has an OLED 6.39-inch screen which now only has the notch at the top because they have taken away the home button at the bottom. This has now allowed you to have a bigger screen. They have also made the front-facing speaker smaller and placed them at the bottom where the charging port is placed.

If you do struggle with headaches you can always change the colour output in the settings. You can also change the resolution to save battery space.

What is the performance like?

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by a Kirin 980, this is a chipset that has been designed in-house by Huawei. It is very similar to the Apple A-series Bionic silicon and having the ability to build a chip yourself means you’re never waiting for the likes of Qualcomm to come out with its next iteration of the flagship Snapdragon chip. This type of chip also has 7nm architecture, giving you better performance because there are smaller transition gaps.
